About Butterbean Beach
Butterbean Beach is also often called Butter Bean Beach and is known for its relaxing vibe, calm waters, and fun activities. Although it's a much smaller public beach than others nearby, it's one of the best destinations in Georgia to unwind for a few hours.
Like a typical Georgie beach, the sand at Butterbean Beach is white and slightly rocky. You'll find some nice, clear water areas while others are murkier due to the oyster beds below.

To explore just away from the beach, head over to Skidaway Island State Park. It's just a couple of miles from Butter Bean Beach and is the ideal place for nature lovers!
